Hello, my name is Ruurd Boele Kuipers, and I am currently 14 years old. I live in Stavanger, Norway, and I was born in Delft, Holland. I still travel to Holland once or twice a year to meet my family. Then I mostly visit my dads grandparents, together with mum, dad and my little sister.
I am a middle-class student on BISS (British International School of Stavanger), and I like the IB course I am taking part of.
In my free time I like to play chess! It is a fun and attractive sport, and I go to chess club at Vigrestad and BISS. Especially at BISS I get the chance to improve, by playing against schoolmates at my level. I also go at chess tournaments, and won some of them too. I think chess is a theme that I will focus on in the future.
I also like to go swimming or surfing. I live very close to a beach, which is ideal for both of them. Further from that, I go to the school band on Monday and play on the drums, taking French lessons on Tuesday, BISS chess club on Wednesday, and Vigrestad chess club on Thursday.
